Pocket Wren
I am professionally trained artist/illustrator with a background of illustrating predominantly within the children’s book market and Pocket Wren is my excuse to produce things that are a little more grown up…although not too much!
I am originally a North Yorkshire lass but now, having made the controversial move across the Pennines, I work from my home studio in Lancashire. My love of the great outdoors influences my work significantly, with the nature and wildlife of the British landscape being my favourite subjects. If I'm not in my studio you'll most likely find me up a mountain, on a beach or lost in the wilderness somewhere! Usually aided by my trusty sidekick, Barley the dog!
Pocket Wren is a unique range of my creations, including soft furnishings, stationary, cards and prints. All featuring designs inspired by my cute and quirky hand-drawn illustrations and papercuts.
I also have a passion for teaching and run regular craft/art workshops both for adults and children. I am fully DBS checked and am in my element covered in paint and sticky handprints in a classroom! I feel quite lucky to be able to share my skills and crafts with others and see the joy it can bring!
