I first started making soap over 10 years ago after watching Kirsty Allsopp making soap in the most beautiful soap shop. I wanted to leave my corporate job and wasn't quite sure what I wanted to do. So after watching Kirsty I thought I'd give soapmaking a go and made my first batch of lavender soap, I was hooked.

My first soap business was called Louisa Brown soap, I won Theo Paphitis' small business Sunday which was amazing. I then went on to train as an aromatherapist, reflexologist, massage therapist & Bach flower essence practitioner. Soap went on the back burner while I grew my holistic therapies practice. I then rebranded to Louisa B Apothecary 3 years ago

As I learnt to make soap I realised how many chemicals are in some of our household products and set about creating products that are all vegan and made with natural oils & butters, clays & herbs as well as natural essential oils rather than synthetic fragrances. Purely using the beauty of nature, I never use any synthetic fragrances, parabens or artificial additives or preservatives. Only the best that nature has to offer.
