Janice Tasker

After studying for a degree in Ceramics I worked as a pattern designer and studio potter. Next came teaching in schools, colleges and prisons, and for the NHS.

Making mosaics combines all the things I love-colour, pattern, texture and the magic that happens in the kiln. I decorate my own tiles because I want colours and designs that are unique and vibrant.

I find inspiration in the structures of plants and the birds I see from my window, landscape, and the artistic traditions of ancient cultures.
