Elaine Harris

I was born a musician but always had a desire to paint and make art.

In 2021 during lockdown  I filled my days  scrolling art, discovering new artists and learning more about the sort of art I like.  On a whim I  decided to try my hand at painting. To my surprise I discovered a joy in  totally absorbing myself in making art. 

I live in Liverpool and my 'studio' is my kitchen table.

I love to go walking in the fells, mountains and Dales and I am inspired by the different seasons, the foliage, berries, flowers leaves, birds and wildlife I encounter. 

I am passionate about nature, colour and the shapes found in the natural world. I love to combine colour filled backgrounds with animal subject matter. Each painting is a journey of discovery. To my utter joy and surprise I have been asked to produce a number of commissions of people's pets and in 2025 my paintings were featured in the Liverpool art fair. I sell my original art cards and paintings at local craft markets and undertake commissions. I use acrylics and gouache and have enjoyed exploring linocut  paper cut art.

My work is available in the form of original art cards, prints and original paintings and linocut.
